Murder suspect may have stolen car in Costa Mesa

A suspect arrested on suspicion of torturing and killing a former INS

agent in an unincorporated area of Orange County may also be linked to a

vehicle theft in Costa Mesa, police officials said Tuesday.

Gregory Michael Pisarcik, 25, was arrested Sunday after a high-speed

pursuitin Ventura County. He was wanted on suspicion of slaying Narciso

P. Leggs Jr., 51, who lived in an unincorporated area of Santa Ana.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department found Pisarcik’s wallet in the

stolen car, said Costa Mesa Police Lt. Dale Birney. Pisarcik allegedly

stole a 1990 Lexus that belonged to one of the employees of the Newport

Donut Shop on June 9. When Costa Mesa police officials recovered the car

June 25, it was occupied by two juveniles.
