‘Proof’ to come to South Coast Repertory

South Coast Repertory will add the Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winning

“Proof,” a David Auburn play, to its 2002-03 season.

The work, to be staged with guest director Michael Bloom, will run

Jan. 10 through Feb. 9 after “Major Barbara” and before “Two Gentlemen of

Verona” on the Segerstrom Stage.

The story is a funny mystery about a genius, his family and the

discovery of a mathematical proof.

Nominees sought for artful business awards

The Orange County Business Committee is now accepting nominations for

the 2002 Business in the Arts Awards, which will be presented Nov. 24 at

the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel.

Honors are given to members of the business community who partner with

arts organizations to support art in Orange County. Businesses can also

qualify for the awards.
