The Huntington Beach Independent went to Ocean View Elementary School

to ask fifth-grade students, ‘What do you want to be and do when you grow

up?’

“I want to be a monkey trainer because I love monkeys.”

Shelby Spruill

“I want to be an actor because I am going to acting classes this

summer. If you look in a magazine, look me up because I’ll be in there if

I get famous enough.”

Eiraj Zandi

“I want to be a teacher because you get to work with kids.”

Julia Gomez

“I want to join the Army because my father used to be

in the Army.”

David Zarate

“I want to be a doctor because I want to help people.”

Elizabeth Nguyen

“I want to be a soccer player or a fireman. I would want to be a

fireman because you get to save people.”

Brian Abarca

“I might want to be a photojournalist or a judge. I like taking

pictures of nature and animals. I wouldn’t mind being a judge either

because I like to solve arguments.

Alexander Ratanapratum

“I want to be a teacher because it looks so interesting that you get

to teach kids.”
