FRIDAY Surf the pier

The Del Taco Huntington Beach Pro/Junior Surf Series will kick off

with the Pro/Junior surfers and air show contestants competing in

preliminary rounds at 8 a.m. at the south side of the Huntington Beach

Pier. The series will continue through Sunday. Preregistration will

SATURDAY Get crafty

Pier Plaza Art-A-Faire will feature more than 50 vendors offering

unique handcrafted items from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the entrance to the

SUNDAY Celebrate German Heritage Day

Old World German Village will host German Heritage Day. Visitors will

be treated to traditional German music with the 18-piece German/American

Brass Band, folk dancers, food and dachshund races. The event will kick

off with the dachshund races at 2 p.m. at 7561 Center Ave. Information:
