Candidates already lining up for fall school district elections

A handful of potential candidates have already pulled papers since

the filing period began on Monday.

For the Huntington Beach Union High School District, for which

there are three seats up for grabs, incumbent Matthew Harper is the

only one to have pulled papers. For the Huntington Beach City School

District, where there are also three slots open, incumbents Shirley A

Carey and Robert J Mann have pulled papers as have challengers Celia

Jaffe and William O Wallace. In the Ocean View School District Debbie

Cotton has pulled papers.

For the Coast Community College District, Joseph E. Ribal has

picked up papers for Area 1 and no one has yet picked up papers for

Area 5.
