Marine Corps Pvt. Antonio T. Sanchez, son of Alejandro A. Montes

of Huntington Beach, recently graduated from the Marine Corps’ Basic

Refrigeration Mechanic Course. Sanchez is a 2001 graduate of Marina

High School.... Lori A. Daedelow of Huntington Beach was named to the

Scholastic Honor Roll for spring term at Oregon State University. She

received a 3.5 grade point average or better and is a liberal studies

major.... Barbara Lyon of Huntington Beach will be awarded the

National Volunteer Award of Excellence at the Junior Achievement

National Leadership Conference held July 20 in San Francisco. Lyon

has been involved with Junior Achievement for more than 20 years,

working on fund-raising and volunteering in its Southern California

office.... UC Santa Barbara has awarded the following undergraduates
