Pascal chef to be part of Eclectic Orange
Organizers of the Eclectic Orange Festival recently announced that
Pascal Olhats, the French chef for Pascal Restaurant in Newport Beach
and Cafe Pascal in Costa Mesa, will also serve as the hospitality
chef for Theatre Zingaro’s French equestrian group in the fall.
The show will be part of the Philharmonic Society’s fourth
Eclectic Orange Festival and will run Oct. 12 through Nov. 8 at the
Orange County Performing Arts Center.
Pascal will cook for members of Zingaro Village and for sponsors
of the performances.

‘Hot Blues’ coming to South Coast Plaza
South Coast Plaza will host its 10th annual “Hot Blues on a Cool
Summer Night” event from 5 to 9 p.m. July 25 at South Coast Plaza
Village to benefit the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
The blues-and-food-fest will take place on the Village Green,
which is along Sunflower Avenue and Bear Street. Performers include
The Bernie Pearl Blues Band and others.
Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door.

Sunday ‘Dream’ performance canceled
The Sunday afternoon performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by
Aterballetto at the Orange County Performing Arts Center has been
canceled.
Performances by the Italian dance company will take place at 8
p.m. Friday and Saturday. The ballet, based on Shakespeare’s play by
the same name, is choreographed by Mauro Bigonzetti to music composed
by Elvis Costello.
Ticket sales for the canceled Sunday performance were light and
Center officials ask patrons already holding tickets for that show to
exchange them for the Friday or Saturday performances.
