Arson suspected in fire

A fire at Talbert Regional Park on the border of Costa Mesa and

Huntington Beach on Tuesday ravaged about 25 acres of dense brush,

but did not damage any of the homes on the nearby bluff. Fire

officials suspect arson and are still searching for suspects.

The three suspects accused of allegedly gang-raping a 16-year old

girl in a Corona del Mar home plead not guilty during their

arraignment Wednesday. Gregory Haidl -- whose father is an assistant

county sheriff -- Kyle Nachreiner and Keith Spann will be back in

court in August for a pre-trial hearing. Judge Craig Robison set

their bail at $100,000 each despite a plea from a deputy district

attorney not to because of the viciousness of the crime. All posted

bail Wednesday night.
