SPEED

Frank’s business is all about serving an on-the-go lunch crowd.

Though the less-than-ample parking at the site can slow you down,

once you’re inside, you can rest assured that Frank’s has your time

clock in mind. Even the counter-side dining seats say “speed.”

SERVICE

This sandwich stand has all the benefits of a family business.

From the counter workers to the cooks, there’s a clear commitment to

customer satisfaction. Brothers Mike and Johnny Mosham, who just

celebrated Frank’s 15-year anniversary, want you to know that they

hope you’ll come back.

VERDICT

Why didn’t someone think of this sooner? A Philadelphia

cheesesteak sandwich minus the steak. In addition to the traditional

Philadelphia fare, one of Frank’s specialties is a combination of

perfectly seasoned white-meat chicken nestled in a soft sandwich roll

with lots of that gooey cheesteaky cheese and some onions and sliced

pepperoncini, too. That’s one good sandwich. And for fans of the In N

Out Burger-style fries, Frank’s will do you one better: the same

fresh potatoes wedges with an even fresher taste than the burger

chain’s. Could it be better-quality vegetable oil? They’ll never

tell.

The Chicken Cheesesteak, like most of their sandwiches, comes in

6-inch, 8-inch or 10-inch sizes. The small is $4.50.

Frank’s is at 2244 Fairview Road in Costa Mesa. (949) 722-8725.
