UCI’s Anteaters on the move

Former UC Irvine basketball player Sean Jackson has signed a

contract to play for the Oldenburg Thunderbirds in Germany this

coming season, while in other Anteater news Monday, baseball coach

John Savage announced the signing of Chris Nicoll to a national

letter of intent.

Jackson, a 6-foot-5 swingman who averaged 9.7 points for UCI in

200-01, averaged 8.7 points and 2.5 rebounds a game last season for

Trier in Germany.

Nicoll, a right-handed pitcher who was picked in the 43rd round by

the Toronto Blue Jays in this year’s draft, is a three-time

All-Northern League honoree from Righetti High in Santa Maria.
