Simba -- a 3-year-old neutered, orange tabby -- has been living at

the Costa Mesa Pet Hospital and has grown to hate being caged up all

alone at night. As a result, he has begun to act out and needs to

find a new home, said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, founder of the Community

Animal Network.

As Simba doesn’t like cages, the organization won’t be able to

show him at Fashion Island.

Along with needing to find Simba a new home, the organization also

needs to collect more donations to help fund the surgery of the

kitten that was recently hit by a car on Jamboree Road.

The community-supported animal organization links people and pets

through community action. See other animals available for adoption at

www.animalnetwork.org or stop by Russo’s pet store at Fashion Island

between noon and 4 p.m. on weekends.
