FESTIVAL OF ARTS

The Festival of Arts will host “Take a Walk on the Wild Side.”

Visitors can interact with exotic wild animals while artist Chris Hoy

captures their beauty on canvas. The event will take place from noon

LAGUNA ART MUSEUM

The museum will open “Surf Culture: The Art History of Surfing.”

The exhibit will examine the history of modern surfboard design from

VILLAGE LAGUNA

Village Laguna, citizens devoted to preserving the village

character of the community will hold a beach party and potluck in the

Historic District of Crystal Cove State Park. Longtime, new, and

prospective members will meet at 3 p.m. in Los Trancos Parking Lot

off Coast Highway to celebrate public access to this beach with

THE LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE

The Playhouse will host an informal conversation with three

playwrights who have been associated with the theater. They are: Jon

Marans who is in residence this summer as the Playhouse prepares the

world premiere production of his newest play, “Jumping for Joy”; Mary

Murfitt who is in residence at the Playhouse preparing a new

historical musical play for the youth theater program and Sherwood

Kiraly who is a Laguna Beach novelist and playwright. The event will

take place at 6 p.m. in the Moulton Theatre, 606 Laguna Canyon Road.

THE SANDSTONE GALLERY

The gallery will open two new collections -- “California Vision,”
