TODAY

The Huntington Beach Playhouse will present “Fiddler on the Roof.”

Directed by Marla Gam Hudson, the classic musical is the story of a

poor dairyman who tries to instill in his five daughters the

traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community. The playhouse will

have performances at 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays; 3 and 8 p.m.

Saturdays, and 2 and 7 p.m. Sundays. The play will run through Aug.

FRIDAY

The Huntington Beach Farmers Market and Craft Fair will be

canceled due to event conflicts. The market and fair will resume from

SATURDAY

Amigos de Bolsa Chica Wetlands will host a tour led by trained

guides. The group will leave every 15 to 20 minutes between 9 and

10:30 a.m. The public is encouraged to bring binoculars and jackets

to the bridge at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. Information:

Kozmos will feature Whole Lotta Rosies, an all-girl AC/DC tribute

Music in the Park will

present the Tom Kubis 17-piece big band and Carol Jolin. The

The Boys & Girls Club of Huntington Valley will host National Kids

Day. The goal of the event will be for adults and kids to spend

WEDNESDAY

Merchants from Peter’s Landing will begin hosting fund-raising

events to benefit the Orange County CoastKeeper, with free

entertainment from 6 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday through the summer.

Attendees are welcome to bring a picnic or eat at one of the

restaurants in the marina. Admission is free for the entire family,

The Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold the 48th

Huntington Beach Distance Derby. The run will start and finish at

Pier Plaza at Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway. The 10-mile run

will start at 7 a.m., the 5-mile run/walk at 8:30 a.m. and the kids’

run at 10 a.m. It costs $22 for adults and $15 for the youth run.

AUG. 11

The International Surfing Museum will present Duke Kahanamoku Day

as part of its Sundays Concert Series. Bands scheduled to perform

will be the Chantays, the Eliminators, Jon & the Nightriders and the
