Millennium Group hosts airport meeting

“Life after Measure W; What’s Next for Communities in the John

Wayne Airport Flight Corridor?” is the title of a presentation to be

given by the New Millennium Group at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the North

Bluff Clubhouse, 2490 Vista del Oro, Newport Beach.

The talk, open to the public, will look at ways the El Toro base

Newport Beach offers kidnap prevention tips

Newport Beach is offering child safety tips to parents on ways to

prevent kidnapping. First, say the tips on the city’s Web site,

“explain that strangers should never ask a child for assistance.”

Children should know that no stranger should ever ask for a child’s

help with directions or even finding a lost puppy or kitten. The tip
