Adult basketball, volleyball leagues offered

The City of Costa Mesa Recreation Division’s fall adult basketball

and coed volleyball leagues are right around the corner as

registration has already begun for the basketball leagues.

Residents and returning teams can register until Monday with open

registration also beginning Monday. All registration closes at 5 p.m.

Aug. 16 and teams signing up after Aug. 16 will be placed on a

waiting list.

Registration is accepted at the Downtown Recreation Center only;

no phone-in or mail-in registration. The recreation center is at 1860

Anaheim Ave. in Costa Mesa.

Leagues accommodate teams of various skill levels and teams will

play games Sunday through Thursday nights. All teams will play 10

games with the best record determining a champion.

League play begins Sunday, Sept. 8.

Each team must pay $515.

Registration for coed adult volleyball leagues begins Aug. 26 and

closes at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6.

Registration will be accepted only at the Downtown Recreation

Center.

Each teams will play 10-three-game matches.

Each team must pay $415. League play begins Saturday, Sept. 14.
