The Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church will present

concert violinist Thi Nguyen and pianist Ivan Yanakov at 8 p.m. today

at 1259 Victoria St., Costa Mesa. The program will include

Beethoven’s “Kreutzer” sonata. A second concert featuring Nguyen, and

pianist Valentina Gottlieb, will begin at 8 p.m. Aug. 17. $15 or $20.

HOW THEY’RE WRITTEN

Rabbi Joseph Kraft will teach how the Torah is written at 2 p.m.

Sunday at Temple Isaiah of Newport Beach, 2401 Irvine Ave., Newport

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

The Lighthouse in Costa Mesa will hold a Vacation Bible School

from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday at the church, 1885 Anaheim

St., Costa Mesa. The school is for children 3 to sixth grade.

BIBLE 101

The Rev. Jim Turrell will teach about the structure and

composition of the Bible for four weeks at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at the

Center for Spiritual Discovery, 2850 Mesa Verde Drive East, Costa

Mesa. This Wednesday’s class will focus on “Bible Origin, History and

Noah.” “About the Bible; Jesus, Joseph & Paul” will be the focus of

The Senior Ministry of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church

will present a series of Brown Bag Musicals this summer at the parish
