Here are some of the decisions coming out of the council meeting

on Tuesday.

PACIFIC BAY HOMES

A request by Pacific Bay Homes to add kitchenettes to the guest

cottages of 11 units in the One Ford Road area was sent back to the

Planning Commission after council members agreed there was not enough

information to make a decision. The company had decided to cancel the

request until council members suggested sending the matter back to

the commission.

WHAT IT MEANS:

Some residents worried that the issue could result in zoning

changes at One Ford Road that could in turn affect their property

values. But council members assured residents that they would work to

assure that their home values were not affected.

WHAT WAS SAID:

‘’I can’t imagine that the zoning is going to change at One Ford

Road.’’

-- Councilman

Steve Bromberg

BUSINESS DISTRICT

The Corona del Mar Business Improvement District will continue its

work for another year, council members decided. On Tuesday, they

voted to renew the district and to continue to authorize its

assessment revenue source for the 2002-03 years.

WHAT IT MEANS:

The area’s Vision 2004 revitalization for Corona del Mar will

continue as planned for the next fiscal year.

WHAT WAS SAID:

“We have a great community, and Vision 2004 is going to make it an

even greater community.”

District
