Christine Martin of Star Real Estate is the media co-ordinator for

a new fundraising effort on behalf of Nicholas Russell and with the

assistance of the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA).

Nicholas, whose liver was damaged last year by an acute viral

infection, received a liver transplant in November, 2001. The

following January, he was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. He now

needs a bone marrow transplant to save his life. Martin is rallying

her wide network of colleagues, friends and family to raise new funds

for this effort.

She is a close friend of Nicholas’ family and determined to assist

them in any possible.

“Nicholas is such a nice young man. It just breaks my heart that

he has to go through this. His attitude is terrific. His mom gave up

her job in order to be home with him full time. He is being

home-schooled and is looking forward to getting back to the Academy

of Performing Arts at Huntington Beach High School.”

Donations are welcome from all sources and are 100% tax

deductible. Martin is open to any creative suggestions for further

fund-raising.

Martin, who specializes in Huntington Village, Dutch Haven College

and the Franciscan Fountains neighborhoods of Huntington Beach, has

been licensed since 1988. Between the pool of happy clients this

successful realtor has accumulated and the people in her area of

influence, she is hoping to reach the hearts of a wide variety of

caring people.
