The Centerfield Sports Bar and Grill will present comedian Mark

The Huntington Beach Playhouse will present “Fiddler on the Roof.”

Directed by Marla Gam Hudson, the classic musical is the story of a

poor dairyman who tries to instill in his five daughters the

traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community. The playhouse will

have performances at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 3 and 8 p.m.

Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. The play will run through Aug. 18.

FRIDAY

The Orange County Children’s Theater will present “Grease.” The

rock ‘n’ roll musical will show at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday

and at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The show will run through

Aug. 18 at the Huntington Beach High School Auditorium, 1905 Main St.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children and seniors.

SATURDAY

Pier Plaza Presents will hold free outdoor concerts presented by

Chevrolet and the city of Huntington Beach. Walter Clevenger, Orange

County’s King of Pop will perform at 1 p.m. Saturday and Bandidos de

The Offshore Grand Prix Professional Powerboat Race will take

place. Test runs, qualifying events and practice races can be seen on

Saturday at Peter’s Landing. The race will take place from noon to

SUNDAY

Old World German Village will present the Plum Festival. Attendees

can taste the prize-winning Pflaumenkuchen or “Plum Cake.” There will

also be a contest for the best plum recipe and vintage Mercedes Benz

will be on display. The event will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. at

Music in the Park will

present Enerjazz!, who will perform a mix of jazz, fusion, blues

and originals. The concert will start at 5 p.m. in Huntington Beach

Merchants from Peter’s

Landing will host fund-raising events to benefit the Orange County

CoastKeeper, with free entertainment from 6 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday

through the summer. Attendees are welcome to bring a picnic or eat at

one of the restaurants in the marina. Admission is free for the

entire family, although donations will be greatly appreciated.

The Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Golf

Tournament. The day’s events will include 18 holes of golf, lunch,

dinner, the wild and wacky “derby,” participant prize packages and

raffle prizes. All proceeds will benefit chamber-sponsored community

programs. The cost is $195 per player. The tournament will take place

The Huntington Beach Historical Society will present the seventh

annual Civil War reenactment. The battles will take place at 1 and 4

The Huntington Beach Playhouse will present “Ladies in

Retirement.” Directed by Terri Miller Schmidt, the story centers

around a companion to a wealthy ex-actress living in a remote country

Huntington Beach Host

Lions Club will hold the inaugural Shelter for the Homeless

Charity Golf Tournament. Registration and a continental breakfast
