THE MOVIE JONES

A showing of “Osmosis Jones” will begin at dusk today as part of

the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort’s Movies on the Beach series. The

film will be shown on a giant screen situated on the sand, and guests

are welcome to take advantage of the campfires. The resort is at 1131

A SEA OF ART

The Art by the Sea Fine Arts Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to

5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Via Lido Plaza in Newport Beach.

The festival will include original work in painting, photography,

mixed media and sculpture. Entertainment will also be provided by the

Jason Feddy Band from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The plaza is at 3425 Via

WALKING FOR

A REASON

A walkathon for 4-year-old Leilani Gutierrez will be held from 3

to 7 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa. Gutierrez was

rendered a quadriplegic after incurring chest and head injuries from

a car collision on Mother’s Day. She woke from a coma in June. The

event was organized by servers at The Omelette Parlor. Participants
