Runners can support any charity on Nov. 10
World Run Day-Costa Mesa is an event where local runners are asked
to come out and run for the charity of their choice on Nov. 10.
Whether with a group of friends in a park or alone on a treadmill,
all local joggers and runners are encouraged to participate with 100%
of their charitable donations going to the charity of their choice.
World Run Day is a grass-roots movement that encourages people to
host their own charity running events and offers suggestions for
possible charities and organizational tips.
The worldwide charity run was started in 1999 by 30-year runner
Bill McDermott, who lives in Long Beach, N.Y., and it has been
growing steadily throughout the world. It promotes the health
benefits of running and charitable giving.
