A NOTE FROM THE PUBLISHER

First of all, we want to apologize to our many loyal readers and

advertisers for Thursday’s circulation delivery problems. While we’re

happy to have our new state-of-the-art printing facility completed,

it hasn’t come without some unanticipated miscues.

Late Wednesday night during the Daily Pilot pressrun, what is

called a “folder” went out on the press. Once that problem was

corrected, an ink pump failed. To make a long story short, we missed

the Los Angeles Times circulation delivery deadline.

Many Daily Pilot employees responded throughout the day Thursday

by delivering newspapers to members of our community. In order to

ensure delivery of all of the news, we’ve also included a copy of

Thursday’s newspaper in today’s Los Angeles Times.

We hope these problems are few and far between. However, please

understand in situations similar to Thursday, we do all we can to get

our product to you.
