RUMMAGE SALE

A rummage sale will be held to benefit the Laguna Beach High

School Class of 2003 “Safe and Sober” Graduation Night Party and the

golf team. The sale will include items such as office furniture,

toys, books, collectible antiques, prints and paintings, fine kitchen

ware, small working appliances, clocks, computers and clothing. The

sale will start at 8 a.m. at the Bus Barn, 2003 Laguna Canyon Road.

COMMUNITY PANCAKE BREAKFAST

The Laguna Century Exchange Club will hold the Labor Day pancake

breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. at Heisler Park on Cliff Drive off Myrtle

Street. All proceeds will go to child abuse prevention programs. The

breakfast costs $3.50.

TUESDAY

ROUND ROBIN BRIDGE CLUB

The Round Robin Bridge Club, sponsored by the Woman’s Club of

The City of Laguna Beach Senior Center will hold a 55-Alive mature

LAGUNA BEACH BUSINESS EXPO

The Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce will host this trade show,

which allows chamber members to showcase their products and services.

COFFEE BREAK

Laguna Beach PTA Council Parent Education Committee will kick off

of the first coffee break of the school year. The session titled,

“Principally Speaking,” will give principals Nancy Blade, Chris

Duddy, Ron LaMotte and Joanne Culverhouse an opportunity talk about

new aspects of the school year at their respective campuses. Check-in

SENIORS

The Laguna Beach Senior Center will host a monthly USDA surplus

food distribution from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the last Friday of the

month. Participants must have a monthly income less than $1,044 for a

single person and $1,407 for two. The distribution will take place on

the upper level of the Veteran’s Memorial Community Center, 384

The South Coast YMCA will offer a new class that addresses

functional strength, balance and stability for seniors. Led by a

certified senior fitness associate and YMCA instructor, the classes

The SilverSneakers Fitness classes are an ongoing series of

classes designed for strengthening and conditioning. The self-paced

by a trained YMCA fitness instructor using skinfold and girth

measurements. The tests can be scheduled at any time at the South
