Prep sports on tap in Laguna

Although the start of the 2002-03 school year is still a few days

away, the Laguna Beach High athletic department already has in place

game schedules for five of its six fall sports programs.

The girls’ golf schedule has not as yet been completed, school

officials said.

Coach Curt Hanson will begin his first year as head coach of the

Artists’ volleyball program on Sept. 12 when he leads the Laguna

Beach girls in a big, season-opening match at Newport Harbor.
