A sure collectible

If you’re a collector of Lladro, you won’t want to miss the

unveiling of “A Grand Adventure” from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Macy’s

South Coast Plaza Home Store. It’s the porcelain company’s most

intricate and advanced sculpture. At 5-feet tall, the sculpture is

dedicated to the golden age of the steam trains. Details include

interiors of the carriages; the gears, rivets and iron cranks are all

made of porcelain. Jose Lladro, president and son of Juan Lladro, one

the of the founding brothers of the company, will be signing Lladro

Very fashionable

Macy’s South Coast Plaza is hosting a fall fashion preview for

kids featuring greendog kidswear Saturday at 1 p.m. The event will

take place in the newly remodeled children’s department. Models will

be from Camp Fire USA of Orange County, a local nonprofit

organization for youth development. Also, the Street Team from Radio

Disney will be in the store with activities for kids including arts
