DeHaas Lion of the Week

Freshman Keri DeHaas, who came off the bench to lead the Vanguard

University women’s volleyball team in kills or digs in three matches,

has been named the school’s Lion of the Week.

Injuries and other factors cut the Lions roster short and DeHaas

made a lasting impression in Vanguard’s five-game, season-opening win

over Bethany College in the Crowne Plaza/Concordia University Labor

Day Volleyball Festival.

She helped lead the Lions to a 3-1 record, the best start for the

program since 1997.

A 2002 graduate of Mayfair High, the left-handed DeHaas currently

leads the Lions with 3.47 kills and 2.8 digs per game.
