The Huntington Beach Playhouse will present “Ladies in

Retirement.” Directed by Terri Miller Schmidt, the story centers

around a companion to a wealthy ex-actress living in a remote country

home who makes plans to provide a permanent home for her two

Save Our Strays of Huntington Beach will host its third annual

Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon at Lake Park, on Lake Street

The Council on Aging and the city of Huntington Beach will host

the 13th annual Senior Community Festival. The event will increase

awareness of products and services for seniors and their families

with entertainment and food. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to

Old World German Village

will celebrate Oktoberfest Sept. 15 through Oct. 27. Wednesdays

and Thursdays are family nights. Friday and Saturday evenings are 21
