Three times two

Three players each scored two goals and the Costa Mesa United

defense made it stand up as the United defeated Tustin, 6-1, Saturday

in a Boys under-16 Division-AYSO Region 120 soccer game to kickoff

the first day of the AYSO season.

Jon Secrest, Juan Carlos and Jimmy Bueno each scored two goals for

the United, who received strong goalkeeping from Zack Shockley, who

saved a Tustin direct kick attempt.

The Costa Mesa boys under-15 AYSO Plus soccer team defeated Yorba

Linda, 4-0, Saturday.

Nick Juarez scored two goals, while Jaybenny Quiroz and Luis

Andrade scored one goal each. Matt Pisarski, Shawn Engmann, Nick

Arant, Nick Straubel, Evan Van Geem, Joshua Hendrikson, Ernesto

Costeneta, Francisco Estrada, Luis Guerro, Brian Henriquez, Jordan

Kalke, and Ryan Pfautz contributed to the offense and provided

winning efforts for Costa Mesa.
