ANGEL

Angel, a green-eyed, white Angora cat, has been given the nickname

Michael Jordan for her ability to jump nearly 6 feet in the air when

she plays. The 4-year-old cat loves being cuddled and spending her

days sunning herself on the window sill. However, she has developed a

fear of other cats and needs to find a home just for her.

Other cats in need of a home face other difficulties. A pregnant

cat, rescued from an animal shelter Sept. 11, gave birth to four

kittens on Friday, said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, founder of the Community

Animal Network in Newport Beach. The kittens are currently being

checked out by veterinarians and donations are being accepted to help

pay for medical bills and food.

“This is a late kitten season with more and more babies coming

in,” Pfaff-Martin said. “The good news is that the public will be

able to adopt kittens around mid-November, which is highly unusual.”
