Volunteers needed for Eclectic Orange Festival

The Eclectic Orange Festival needs volunteers to help during the

six-week festival in departments including patron services and

special promotions. The festival will open Oct. 11 and will feature

55 performances, from Theatre Zingaro to “La Boheme.” Shifts include

nights, weekends and at various festival venues.

Volunteers can get free Eclectic Orange tickets to selected

events.

New Center support chapter to hold mixer

The first mixer for the Jerry Herman Chapter of the Guilds of the

Orange County Performing Arts Center will be held from 3 to 6 p.m.

Oct. 6 at the Newport Coast home of a member.

The Guilds is the Center’s largest support group. The Jerry Herman

chapter is new and welcomes gay men and lesbians. RSVPs required.

There will be a $5 fee at the door.

Jones to replace Murphy in Center cabaret

The Grammy Award-winning Jack Jones will perform Nov. 12 to 16 at

the Orange County Performing Arts Center as part of the Elvin and

Marjorie Shane Klein Cabaret Series. Jones will be replacing Donna

Murphy.

Show time is 7:30 p.m. every night. The Las Vegas entertainer,

television and theater star will perform at Founders Hall, 600 Town

Center Drive, Costa Mesa.

Tickets are $49 and are on sale now.
