The Koll Co., a local real estate and development firm, has sold

one of its subsidiaries to the firm’s management team, company

officials said.

The sale agreement was finalized Sept. 13 between Koll and current

owners of the new company, Donald W. Dreusike and Terry Lysek.

Dreusike was president of Koll Construction while Lysek served as its

senior vice president. Koll Construction will now operate under the

name ARRIS Builders Inc.

Koll Construction had been a general contractor for 40 years, but

will now expand its services to design build and construction

management, Dreusike said.

“We also plan to do more as construction consultants,” he said.

“We will continue our general contracting business. However, we will

be adding all these other services.”

Before becoming president of Koll Construction, LP, Dreusike

served as senior vice president in charge for Bovis Lend Lease,

interim president of Paragon Construction -- reporting to golfer Jack

Nicklaus of Golden Bear Golf -- and more than 30 years at Dinwiddie

Construction Co., ultimately serving as its chairman.

Lysek’s 25 years of experience includes more than eight years with

Bovis Lend Lease as a vice president and member of the Los Angeles

Management Committee, as well as a member of the Western Region

Governance Committee, and more than 12 years in senior positions for

Swinerton Walberg.

Together, Dreusike and Lysek have worked on several major projects

ranging from the Getty Center, San Francisco’s historic PG&E;

high-rise buildings, Disney’s California Adventure, UCLA’s Anderson

Graduate School of Management, the Beverly Connection and the Newport

Beach Four Seasons Hotel.
