The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each

day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if

desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or

hot entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served

this week:

TODAY

Munchable Lunch Salad with fruit yogurt or stuffed-crust pepperoni

pizza, crisp green salad with ranch dressing, choice of fruit and

milk

WEDNESDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken patty sandwich on a bun, broccoli

flowerets with dip, choice of fruit, choice of milk

THURSDAY

Oriental chicken salad with a fresh baked roll or two beef or

veggie soft tacos with lettuce, cheese and salsa, frozen 100% fruit

juice bar, choice of milk

FRIDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or corn dog or veggie corn dog, apple berry

crisp, choice of 100% fruit juice, choice of milk

MONDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or toasted cheese sandwich, baby carrots

with ranch dip, trail mix, choice of milk

* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry

tomatoes, crackers, protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds,

fruit yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts and dressing.
