Daily Pilot column and a 12-year consulting practice to take the

mantle as the Irvine Co.’s senior director of community

communications ... Says his goal with the company “is to make sure

the people in the communities we touch are fully aware of our plans

and goals, and that they have an opportunity to share their thoughts

and ideas with us” ... Admits that his career has been all over the

map, from executive editor of Orange Coast magazine to vice president

of an interior design firm ... A fourth-generation Californian and

resident of Orange County since 1962, he’s seen the county mature and

still thinks it’s the “best place to live on the planet” ... Enjoys
