THE TRAVELING TEST

1 The National Prostate Cancer coalition will hold prostate cancer

screenings for the public from noon to 5 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 6

p.m. Saturday at the Orange County Fairgrounds. The screenings, which

are open to the public, will be conducted inside the traveling mobile

screening clinic. Free. The fairgrounds are at 88 Fairview Drive,

PATROL A PATROL BOAT

2 The Newport Harbor Nautical Museum will offer guided tours of

the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Narwhal from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday

and Sunday. The Narwhal is an 87-foot coastal patrol boat with a

cruising range of 612 miles and a speed of 26-plus knots. Tours will

be given by Commanding Officer Lt. John J. Kidwell. Free. 151 E.

WALKING TOWARD A CURE

3 A Light The Night Walk, sponsored by The Leukemia & Lymphoma

Society Tri-County Chapter, will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Sunday at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort. All funds raised from

the walk will go toward finding cures for leukemia, lymphoma,

Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. A $25 donation is suggested. 1131 Back
