The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each
day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if
desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or
hot entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served
this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with fruit yogurt, hamburger or veggie
burger on a bun with lettuce and pickles, choice of 100% fruit juice,
choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
Ham and cheese sandwich or cheddar cheese quesadilla, crisp green
salad with ranch dressing, choice of fruit, choice of milk
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or pasta with marinara sauce and meatballs,
fresh baked whole grain roll, baby carrots with ranch dip, apricots,
choice of milk
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad, corn dog or veggie corn dog, choice of
fruit, frozen 100% fruit juice bar, choice of milk
MONDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or bean and cheese burrito, veggie sticks
with ranch dip, choice of fruit, choice of milk
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry
tomatoes, crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower
seeds, fruit yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts and dressing.
