Chargers knocks off Stanton

Jullien Herrera had a big rushing day Saturday and the Huntington

Beach defense was again tough to penetrate -- two key reasons that

the Chargers were able to defeat the Stanton Raiders, 14-6, in a Pop

Warner Football Jr. Pee Wee Division contest.

Herrera rushed for more than 100 yards and one touchdown to lead a

rushing attack that also featured the strong running of Trevor McKeen

and Alex Kirschner.

The Chargers’ other touchdown and point after were scored by

Richard Nobella.

Herrera, McKeen, Nobella, Dillon Petrarca, Todd Smith, Tyler

Troya, Richard Ballesteros and Ryan Christopher led Huntington

Beach’s defensive charge, which limited the Raiders to one score.

In five games, the Charger defense has yielded just 20 points.
