The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each

day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if

desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or

hot entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served

this week:

TODAY

Munchable Lunch Salad with fruit yogurt or bean and cheese burrito

and crisp green salad with ranch dressing, choice of 100% fruit

juice, choice of milk

WEDNESDAY

Oriental chicken salad with fresh baked whole grain roll or

teriyaki beef dippers, baked rice, broccoli flowerets with dip,

choice of fruit and milk

THURSDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or toasted cheese sandwich, glazed carrots,

cinnamon apple slices, choice of milk

FRIDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, fresh

baked whole grain roll, choice of 100% fruit juice, choice of milk

MONDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or turkey fryz, baby carrots with ranch dip,

baked nacho cheese Doritos, choice of fruit

* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry

tomatoes, crackers, protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds,

fruit yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts and dressing.
