Anteaters set to celebrate soccer with San Diego Spirit Night

UC Irvine will play host to the UC Riverside Highlanders on Friday

at 7 p.m. The UCI women’s soccer team will welcome members of the San

Diego Spirit prior to the game on Friday to “Celebrate Soccer

Spirit.” Activities begin at 6 p.m.

Defender Ann Kraus and goalkeeper Jamie Pagliarulo are among the

players from the San Diego Spirit that will be in attendance. There

will be an autograph session at 6 p.m. with the members of the

Spirit. The first 100 youngsters in attendance will receive a San

Diego Spirit gift bag.

The Anteaters and Highlanders each have undefeated records after

the first two weeks of Big West Conference play. UCI is 5-6-1 overall

with a 2-0-1 record in the Big West. UCR is 9-4-1 overall with a 3-0-1 record in the Big West.

The Anteaters will play host to cross-town rival Cal State

Fullerton at 1 p.m. on Sunday the 20th at Anteater Stadium.
