* AIRPORT STRATEGY:
“The first thing we need to do is to find out everything that was
done, agreed to and executed in closed session. We need to find out
what exactly we’re committed to, then we can start working toward
regional solutions to air traffic.”
* PLAYING FIELDS:
“We have five and six teams at a time competing for space on
soccer fields. There are opportunities for more park space in West
Newport. We also need to look at allowing winter play, possibly
lighting some fields for a little while in the winter, after it gets

* IMPORTANT INFLUENCE IN LIFE:
“My father-in-law, Nathan Reade, was like a father to me. From the
time my wife and I first started dating in 1978, he treated me like
his son. He was a man who always did the right thing and who always
gave me guidance.
* GREENLIGHT:

developers want.”
* FAMILY:
“They are the essence of what I am,” Taylor said of his wife and
three children. “Becoming a father changes how you see everything. It
makes you a better person. They’re the most important thing to me.”
* DEVELOPMENT:
“Newport Beach is a patchwork of charming, unique communities.

also why you can’t just plop them down anywhere. I think that
businesses that want to come in should adapt to the charm of Newport
Beach instead of us having to adapt to them.
