Chargers host NFL Flag Football Festival on UCI campus Oct. 26
The NFL and the San Diego Chargers host the NFL FLAG Football
Festival Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Crawford Field,
adjacent to Crawford Hall, on the UC Irvine campus.
The free event, open to all boys and girls of all ages, encourages
youngsters to participate in NFL FLAG clinics and skills competition
which provides them fundamental skill training and tips on how to
play football like the pros.
They will be a part of a national program emphasizing youth
education, participation and sportsmanship.
Youngsters interested in participating must register by calling
1-800-NFL-SNAP or by visiting www.flag-nflyouthfootball.com
receive a free goody bag and T-shirt.
The festival offers fun for the whole family as appearances by
Chargers Cheerleaders take place, as well as face painting, Gatorade
samplings and Chunky Soup interactive games.
The San Diego Chargers festival is one of six NFL FLAG festivals
being held throughout the country on Oct. 26.
Other sites include Baltimore, Cleveland, Houston, Miami and San
Francisco.
The New York festival will be held at a later date in November.
Portions of all NFL FLAG festivals will be broadcast on ESPN.
