Seahawks prevail, 14-0

The Jr. Midget Seahawks defeated the Cerritos Steelers in a

defensive struggle, 14-0, Saturday in Jr. All American Football

action.

The Seahawks defense stepped up in the second half, stopping

Steeler drives with an interception by Jamie McGee and multiple sacks

by linebackers Matt Lutton and Chas Vickery III and the defensive

line of Corbin McNutt, Steven Dean and P.J. Simpson held the Steeler

running game in check and Tommy Folks made several tackles for short

gains.

Timely passing by Seahawk quarterback Taylor Sepulveda with

fourth-down receptions by Jamie McGee and Brett Houten and the

running of Matt Garza and Robbie Lusk led the Seahawks to their

second touchdown with seconds remaining. Sepulveda led the offense 88

yards on the drive.

The Seahawks scored in the first half on a 35-yard run by Jacob

Gildart behind blocking of Jake Taylor, Kevin Morgenstern, Richie

Sorenson and Brice Jardine.
