Don’t miss the 27th annual Sisterhood Hanukkah Bazaar at Temple

Bat Yahm in Newport Beach on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The

award-winning gift gala and shopping extravaganza has new exciting

vendors and a full line of Hanukkah Judaica. The selection includes

books, candles, cards, decorations, dreidels, games, gift wrap,

menorahs, tapes and videos.

Vendors will also sell the finest in ceremonial Judaica, collector

pieces, art, costume jewelry, gourmet foods, Israeli imports,

mezuzahs, personalized gifts, sculpture, sterling and gold jewelry

and more. The gift shop is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday; noon to

2 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday; and 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and

BOUTIQUE SALE

Marion Hartwich and Meredith Jones, known for their antiques and

unique decor, are having a one-day-only boutique sale today from 10

a.m. to 5 p.m. Items featured include antiques, collectibles,

jewelry, decorative accessories, topiaries, stocking stuffers, purses

and gift wrap. The store is at 320 Broadway, Costa Mesa.

WINTER PREVIEW

Two sister stores -- BCBG and Parallel at Fashion Island -- will

preview their winter lines on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Continental breakfast will be served. If customers spend $200 in one

store, they’ll receive $50 off on their purchase.

BCBG is designer Max Azria’s affordable ready-to-wear line, as

well as shoes and accessories. This store is one of the few BCBG

stores that also carries his runway collection: BCBG Max Azria. Call

CLASSY SECONDS

Classy Seconds is a charity resale boutique benefiting Human

Options -- a nonprofit organization helping battered women, their

children and our community break the cycle of domestic violence.

Classy Seconds sells current designer fashions at affordable prices

for men, women and children.

It recently received a donation from a supportive upscale boutique

of high-end casual and special occasion holiday pieces. Customers

shop here for career and casual wear. Designers featured include

Ellen Tracy, Emanuel, Tadashi, Votre Nom, Action Wear and Joseph

Ribkoff. Donations of new and gently used clothing, collectibles,

furniture, jewelry and accessories are accepted.

ROSES IN EVERY COLOR

Corona del Mar Florist, known for its beautifully designed

arrangements, also stocks the most roses in town -- 40 to 50 dozen in

all colors. Owner Beverly Monigal has a large gift room for those who

want to send flowers and gifts. Gifts are priced under $50, including

ceramic birthday cakes, flameless wax candles handmade in Laguna,

bubbling bath salts, The Good Home Co. Laundry fragrance line, simple

Martha Stewart-looking wreaths and funky turkeys.

High-end baby gifts include fabulous photo albums made of moire

decorated with organza dresses and Touch of Love baby massage snuggle

wear. The store also has a huge selection of high-quality ribbon.

GOING ORGANIC

The Health Emporium is one of the best organic markets. It’s also

an organic grill, cafe, bakery, juice bar, deli and catering house.

Since the 1940s, this location has housed a market. Owner Seth

Siegal radically improved the building in 1996, giving it an upscale

retro-look.

All produce is certified organic. Fresh fish and meats are USDA

approved, stimulant free, hormone free, antibiotic free and nitrate

free. There’s a big selection of vitamins, herbs, sports nutrition,

homeopathy and natural cosmetics.

The grill’s two chefs come from the Culinary Institute in New

York, and there’s a true master French baker. Customers love the

deli’s delicious maple pecan cookies, turkey and chicken meatloaf,

gourmet salads, chocolate eclairs and double chocolate cake. The

grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
