Rattlers put bite on Kings
Sean McDaniel poured in a match-high four goals and also collected
an assist to lead the Rattlers past the Kings, 8-1, in a Adams
Division match.
McDaniel scored the game’s first two goals, then capped the
scoring for the Rattlers in the third period with his fourth goal.
The Rattlers led, 5-0, entering the final period of play.
In addition to McDaniel, Jake Grothjan scored two goals, Kasey
Kunichika and Daniel Burkhardt each scored once and Stephanie Leung
and Cannon Kunichika each had an assist.
Parker Ransom needed just six saves to preserve the victory.
Matthew Oyakawa scored an unassisted goal for the Kings.
In other games:
Ducks 3, Flames 1
Connor Hisgen scored two goals, and Toby Costa scored once for the
Ducks, who also received assists from Philip Pascarelli and Wyatt
Colvard.
Garrick Langer finished with 11 saves.
Joshua Kliger scored for the Flames, and Nathan Enright had 11
saves.
X-Men 2, Mad Dogs 1
Kaylee Peterson scored unassisted in the final period to break a
tie and lift the X-Men past the Mad Dogs.
Peterson also had an assist, as did John Terry, assisting Briana
Redl on a second-period goal.
Michael Pigors had 10 saves.
Paul Studer scored unassisted, and David Mastro recorded 15 saves
to lead the Mad Dogs.
Nightmares 2, Red Lazers 1
Joseph Thielen scored two goals, and Karley Wester had nine saves
for the Nightmares.
Tyler Carnival scored the Red Lazers’ lone goal and Ryan Humphrey
finished with 21 saves.
Dyno-Mites 2, Roller Dogs 2
Jeremy Treskes scored two goals in the tie with the Roller Dogs.
Jacob Rosser had 11 saves for the Dyno-Mites.
Trevor Murphy scored both goals for the Roller Dogs, and Nick
Edwards recorded 13 saves.
