A STARGAZER’S SCENE

1 The Orange County Astronomers will hold an astronomy night from

7 to 9 p.m. today at the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center. The

program, open to all ages, will have a presentation, observation with

telescopes and hands-on activities.

A WAXING WEEKEND

2 A board-waxing demonstration presented by Victoria Surf & Skim

will be held at Macy’s South Coast Plaza at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on the

first floor of the Men’s Store. Guests will learn how to sculpt and

wax a surfboard for ultimate wave riding and receive a complimentary

gift. The store is at 3333 Bristol St., Suite 6000, Costa Mesa. Free.

A MUSICALE LIBRARY

3 The Newport Beach Public Library will host a musicale with

violinist Cheryl Norman at 3 p.m. Sunday. The library is at 1000

Avocado Ave. Norman, an award-winning soloist and chamber musician,
