Monika Johnston and Vernon Scoby, both of Cotati, Calif.,

exchanged wedding vows at the Sonoma Creek Winery in Sonoma on June

29.

The bride, daughter of Stephen Johnston of Newport Beach and

Leslie and Joe Brockman of Laguna Beach, wore a long lace gown. Her

maid of honor was her sister, Marisa Johnston, and her bridesmaids

were Kristin Showalter, Robin Rasmussen, Megan Brady and Vanessa

Hardy.

The groom is the son of Jacki Slavin of Burbank. His best man was

his brother John Scoby, and his groomsmen were Mike Alwood, Dean

Kennedy, Mar Ritchie and Medina Daniel.

The ceremony was followed by a reception of 150 guests at the

Sonoma Creek Winery.

The bride is a teacher at The Presentation School in Sonoma and

the groom is self-employed.

The couple is at home in Cotati.

Barbara and Charles Thompson of St. Louis, Mo., announce the

engagement of their daughter, Leslie Thompson of St. Louis, to Hunter

MacDonald of St. Louis.

The bride-elect graduated from St. Louis Country Day and Southern

Methodist University in Dallas, Tex.

The future bridegroom, son of Rod and Barbara MacDonald of Newport

Beach, graduated from Corona del Mar High School and Southern

Methodist University in Dallas.

A Dec. 28 wedding is planned in Elliott Chapel in St. Louis.
