Pro Classic in semis

Today’s semifinal matches in the 2002 Costa Mesa Pro Classic at

the Costa Mesa Tennis Center are set following Friday’s

quarterfinals.

Beginning at noon, Taipei’s Yeu-Tzuoo Wang, the top seed, will

face fourth-seeded Jose De Armas from Venezuela, followed by No.

3-seed Doug Bohaboy and Rajeev Ram, both from the United States.

Wang defeated fifth-seeded Mike Scheidweiler, 6-0, 6-7 (0), 6-4,

Friday while De Armas defeated seventh-seeded Mark Hilton, 6-3, 0-6,

7-5. Bohaboy bested Croatia’s Sasa Tuskar, 2-0 (retired) and Ram

advanced with a 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 decision against No. 6-seed Raven

Klassen.

The finals are Sunday at noon.
