4Get jazzed. STOP-GAP, a nonprofit theater company, will present

“Jazzed About STOP-GAP,” a cabaret featuring the music of pianist

Barnaby Finch, at 5:30 p.m. The fund-raiser, which will include a

reception, will be held in Founders Hall, Orange County Performing

Arts Center, 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa. Tickets must be

5What the teachers draw. Art by members of UC Irvine’s faculty

will be on display through Wednesday at the Beall Center for Art and

Technology and University Art Gallery at the university campus,

corner of Campus and University drives. Gallery hours are noon to 5

p.m. Monday through Sunday. On Thursdays the gallery is open until 8
