Friends of Shipley Nature Center will hold their first
“Restoration is Recreation” planting day from 9 a.m. to noon.
Participants should bring gardening tools, water, a hat and
sunscreen. Enter from the parking lot off Edwards Avenue on Central
Park Drive. Walk out of the parking lot at the north end entrance and
follow the white line that leads all the way to the front gate of the

MONDAY
The Huntington Beach Education Foundation will host the annual
Touchdown for Technology Monday Night Football Fund-raiser. The
proceeds from the event will be invested in community schools in the
form of technology and teacher grants. Participants are encouraged to
donate items for a silent auction. The event will take place from 5

Boater’s World Marine Center will host a free seminar given by
Capt. Ron Baker of “Fish Talk Radio” at 2 p.m. He will talk about
what the local captains are catching off shore, what to use and where
