TODAY

The Huntington Beach Art Center will open an exhibition titled

“They Stood In Line For Hours.” The collection will feature artists

selected from the annual “Centered on the Center” open-call

exhibition in January 2002. It will be on display through Dec. 22.

The gallery is at 538 Main St. and is open from noon to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday; and

FRIDAY

The Farmers Market and Craft Fair will take place from 1 p.m. to

dusk at Pier Plaza, at the intersection of Main Street and Pacific

Coast Highway. Merchants will be selling fresh fruits, vegetables,

breads, popcorn and more. Fine art, jewelry, clothing and other

interesting and unique gifts designed and made by local artists will

The Five Point Plaza

Merchant’s Association will celebrate “Take the Stress out of

Shopping Day” with complimentary professional neck and shoulder

massages. The Soul Heart and Hands massage therapy team will be on

The Light-a-Light of Love

Parade and Pier Lighting will begin with a lighting ceremony at 5

p.m. at Pier Plaza, Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway. The parade

will features drill teams, fire engines and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

The Huntington Beach Art Center will present “A Day With(Out)

Art,” a silent and continuous video presentation held each year to

pay tribute to artists throughout the world on World AIDS Day. The

Congregation Adat Israel

and the children’s choir will lead a menorah-lighting ceremony

WEDNESDAY

The First Christian Church

of Huntington Beach will present a living Nativity with more than

200 actors. Cars will line up early along 17th Street and Palm. The

nativity will open at 6:30 p.m. and continue until 9:30 p.m. through

Dec. 6. Guests can park nearby and walk to the event at 1207 Main St.

The Huntington Beach Art League will hold holiday party and

critique with teacher and pastel artist Bernard Fallon. The party
