UCI routs Pacific, 9-4

LOS ALAMITOS -- UC Irvine’s men’s water polo team was a 9-4 winner

over University of the Pacific Saturday at the Mountain Pacific

Sports Federation Tournament and will meet USC today at the same

site, the Armed Forces Training Center, for fifth place, starting at

2:30 p.m.

Jeff Powers scored four goals and Dan Noon tallied twice to pace

the victory. Dreason Barry, Charlie Fisher and Phil Garcia also

scored. UCI goalie Doug Finfrock had eight saves.

UCI improved to 16-10, Pacific exited with a 10-14 record.
